starter pass

Come to unlimited classes for two weeks and get a feel for what training at Totum is like. We highly recommend you begin with a Body Prep class. Available only for local Hobart residents. Visitors may purchase a class pass or visitors pass.

Save $10 and try out a Body Prep Class with this discounted drop in pass for your first class. Valid for 21 days from purchase

If you are visiting, or unable to visit regularly a class pass might be your best option. We have 5, 10, and 20 class packs to choose from.

Our Goal​

At Totum our goal is to help you feel great and have fun doing it. Our mission, is to grow and support a creative and strong movement community dedicated to excellence where everyone can explore the limits of their potential.

Our Practice

​

We teach a physical practice that activates the body’s innate intelligence and strength. By blending various disciplines, we create physical freedom and enhance performance. Our approach helps students build immense full-body strength and flexibility, strong mind-body awareness, learn new skills that seemed impossible, and develop new neural pathways for improved creativity, presence, and problem solving in life.

Our Approach​

​

Rather than just exercise, we focus on skills that build over time as you do. Every skill is broken down into small, achievable steps, ensuring continuous progress for students of all backgrounds. The key is to begin where you are currently at. We emphasize mindful movement and intentional practice. Our focus includes developing spatial awareness, coordination, and effective ground movement.

 

We encourage practicing at the edge of your capabilities without just a fatigue seeking goal. Think of it as adult recess with seriously effective results.

Our classes are designed to help you achieve health, wellness, and longevity.  Here, you’ll find a supportive environment where you can experiment, practice, and grow. Expect to try, fail, succeed, and repeat as you discover new ways to connect with your body. You’ll learn to move with strength, agility, and grace, adapting to life’s demands with confidence and ease.

Join us for a transformative journey! Our practice delivers deep, lasting results. You’ll become stronger, more flexible, and highly skilled. We focus on continuous growth, challenging you with new movements and skills that push your boundaries. With progressive training in gymnastics strength, calisthenics, bodyweight strength, locomotion, and weightlifting, you’ll always find the right level to advance. Our diverse classes cater to all skill levels and backgrounds, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. To maximise your benefits, we recommend attending at least three times a week.

 

Play

       

Play is a powerful tool for changing our thoughts, feelings, and actions. It enhances neuroplasticity by creating new connections in the prefrontal cortex, which governs movement, planning, decision-making, and social behavior. Play allows us to explore new possibilities in a stress-free environment, helping our bodies adapt and stay flexible. At Totum, we incorporate play into every class through Movement Situations and Movement Games, encouraging focused play where you can be fully present and enjoy the moment. This is powerful medicine for both body and mind.

 

Community

Our classes welcome all ages, abilities, and strengths. Partner work is integral, allowing everyone to step into the roles of teacher and observer, enhancing learning and adaptation. This interaction fosters a rich community centered around the shared goal of becoming better humans. Join us to train, practice, and grow together.
