Our Goal​

At Totum our goal is to help you get strong, feel great, and have fun doing it. Our mission, is to grow and support a creative and strong movement community dedicated to excellence where everyone can explore the limits of their potential.

Our Practice
​
We teach a physical practice that activates the body’s innate intelligence and strength. By blending strength, mobility, and movement we create physical freedom and enhance performance. Our approach helps students build immense full-body strength and flexibility, strong mind-body awareness, learn new skills that seemed impossible, and develop new neural pathways for improved creativity, presence, and problem solving in life.

Our Approach​
​
Rather than just exercise, we focus on skills that build over time as you do. Every skill is broken down into small, achievable steps, ensuring continuous progress for students of all backgrounds. The key is to begin where you are currently at. We emphasize mindful movement and intentional practice. Our focus includes developing spatial awareness, coordination, and effective ground movement.
We encourage practicing at the edge of your capabilities without just a fatigue seeking goal. Think of it as adult recess with seriously effective results.
Classes

Strength & Movement
This class is designed to improve your strength, mobility, and bodyweight strength skills like chin-ups, planches, levers and handstands. Open to all levels with our progressions program, with a focus on achieving your potential and discovering higher performance while refining control, resilience, and creativity in movement with support from community.
Body Prep
Build a capable body through joint preparation, spinal work, strength and mobility. 'Bullet proofing' for life and mastering the essentials of strength, mobility, bodyweight skills, and partnering. No one has ever said their base was too developed or too strong! This is a great starting point to begin as well as to continue to refine and develop at all times.


Handstands
Build the strength, mobility, skill and fun of hand balancing. Learn the technique to balance a free standing handstand, press handstand, and beyond - from beginners to advanced.
Mobility & Flexibility
Working on mobility projects, end range strength and active flexibility in shoulders and hips. Improving spinal mobility, resting squat, toe touch and moving towards skills like front split, middle split, and pancake .

What Happens in a Class
Classes follow a consistent structure.
We start with a warm-up to improve mobility and prep the body for the session. From there we explore locomotion or movement puzzles for full-body coordination and problem-solving.
The main section focuses on strength and skill training, usually in 1–2 short circuits. You train at an appropriate level and progress as the block unfolds.
We finish with a brief cooldown.
Classes are programmed in 6-week blocks. This reflects both experience and research: skill learning takes time, and meaningful strength gains typically happen over 4–8 weeks of consistent training.
