Why Most Movement Training Fails
Most gyms treat your body like a machine with separate parts to target. We treat it like the integrated system it actually is.
Most classes make you dependent on instruction.
We teach you to understand your own body.
Most programs ignore how movement should feel.
We start there.
Traditional gyms tell you to 'feel the burn' in specific muscles. But real movement isn't dissecting individual parts - it's about connecting with your whole body as an integrated system.
Too often people get stuck copying movements they don't deeply understand, plateau quickly, and think they're "just not good at this stuff."
Our approach? We teach you to reconnect with your body first, and then skills like handstands, muscle-ups, and fluid movement become not just possible - but inevitable.
We blend science-backed bodyweight training & calisthenics, with mobility, locomotion (animal movement), traditional strength training, and play to help you move with power, control, and freedom.
A better way to move
No machines, no mirrors. Just expert guidance, purposeful progress, and space to move freely.
We blend science-backed bodyweight training & calisthenics, with mobility, locomotion (animal movement), traditional strength training, and play to help you move with power, control, and freedom. Whether you're starting from scratch or working towards your first pull-up or handstand, we meet you exactly where you are.
How We Do Things Differently
We treat your body as the integrated system it actually is. Our 5 areas of practice work together, and progressing in any of them comes down to the same fundamentals: increasing body awareness, moving with quality, learning by doing, playing, and following our fantastic progressions.
Instead of tuning out, you learn to tune in. Instead of forcing movements, you discover what your body is capable of when everything works together.
You'll Fit Right In
Different backgrounds. Same drive.
What unites everyone? A curiosity about what your body can do and a commitment to showing up — no matter where you’re starting from.
You'll train alongside professionals, creatives, outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, teachers, students, and lifelong learners of all ages.

A Better Approach to Training, Right Here in Hobart.
Instead of isolating body parts or focusing on just one aspect of fitness, we train your whole system. Each area reinforces the others, creating real-world capability and body awareness you can't get from traditional training.
Sessions are focused, challenging, and adaptable to your level.
Our coaches help you discover your optimal progression and begin exactly where you need to.
Through practice, YOU write the user manual to your own body.
Our 5 areas of practice work together to create a balanced, resilient body.
Strength
Build practical, real-world strength. From traditional lifts like back squats to mastering your own bodyweight with calisthenics and gymnastics rings. No machines means you learn to feel how your body creates force and stability - knowledge that transfers to everything you do. Learn skills like pull-ups, muscle ups, planche, levers, pistol squats and more. We tailor programming to your abilities and goals - no cookie-cutter approaches.
Mobility
Unlock range, reduce stiffness, and move with freedom. Go beyond simple stretching with dynamic, loaded, active and end-range training to increase range of motion and open up new possibilities for movement.
Skills
Challenge your body and mind. Learning complex skills like handstands builds whole body integration, coordination, focus, and a powerful sense of accomplishment. Through it you learn to read your body's feedback and self-correct - making you an independent learner.
Games & Play
Learn and build strength through games that feels like play but expands what you think your body can do. Play isn’t just fun - it’s how we build creativity, reduce stress, and create the relaxed awareness needed for learning. When you're having fun, you naturally tune into your body instead of forcing movements. Every class includes an element of discovery and joy.
Movement
Explore locomotion, animal movements, flow-based practices, and soft acrobatics. Discover how your body can move through space with grace, efficiency, and control.
Why Most Movement Training Fails
Traditional gyms tell you to 'feel the burn' in specific muscles. But real movement isn't about targeting body parts like a broken engine, it's about connecting with your whole body as an integrated system.
When you can feel how your shoulder blade moves, suddenly handstands make sense. When you can move your spine segment by segment, back pain disappears.
The Three Pillars
Our training method is built on three pillars.
They remain consistent across all areas of practice.
And create lasting physical transformation, deeper awareness, and more meaningful progress.
Get out of your head and
into your body
Reconnect to your senses and engage deeply with the sensations in your body.
Notice how you move, where you hold tension, how your weight shifts, and how your body relates to the ground and gravity.
Focus on Movement Quality
Apply your refined awareness and
prioritise movement quality in everything you do.
Like learning to feel exactly where your weight sits in your hands during a handstand, or moving your spine one vertebra at a time instead of as one stiff block.
You don't need to master something before moving well. It's a mindset that can begin on day 1.
Move fluidly within your current range, stay curious about what you feel, and adjust as needed. Quality-focused movement builds impressive strength, mobility, and coordination while developing a deeper understanding of yourself.
This approach adapts with you through every stage of growth.
Move Together
We accomplish more when we move together
Training with others allows you to learn faster, solve problems creatively, and discover parts of yourself that solo practice can never reveal.
What is 'Movement' ?
Our Movement classes include locomotion: animal-like movement that draws from gymnastics, martial arts, and dance.
Think flowing between bear crawls, lizard walks, and rolling patterns. It’s challenging, playful, and surprisingly addictive.
This isn't just functional fitness. It builds serious athletic strength, power and coordination that transfers to sports and activities. Plus, it makes everyday life easier, from getting up off the floor to hiking steep trails.
Sports scientists call this ‘movement variability’ - training your body to solve physical challenges in flexible, efficient ways.
You'll find it helps you build :
Coordination
How efficiently muscles work together
Your brain’s awareness of where your body is in space
Body mapping
Joint mobility
Strengthen joints through full range of movement
Adaptive strength
Strength that transfers to real life and sport
Fun, and joy in movement!
