Open member contract

Membership Agreement

Last updated June 2026

This is the agreement under which you become a recurring member of Totum Movement. When you join as a member, you enter a legally binding contract with us. It sets out your rights to use our facilities and services, and your responsibilities as a member, including payment of membership fees. These responsibilities do not depend on how often you use the facilities and services.

By checking the box to accept this agreement when you sign up, you confirm you have read and agree to it. It overrides any statements made before you accepted it, so please read it fully to make sure it reflects your expectations. If you are unsure whether something you relied on forms part of this agreement, or you have any questions, please ask us before you agree.

It works alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

An open contract

This is an open contract: you can pause or end your membership at any time with two weeks' notice (see below). There is no lock-in.

Payment and direct debit

Recurring memberships are billed automatically. If a direct debit arrangement is in place, your membership fees will continue to be debited until you or we cancel the arrangement. If you end this agreement or stop the automatic debit in a way not described here, you may be liable for unpaid fees or for damages for breach of contract.

It is your responsibility to ensure there are enough funds for your membership fees to clear each billing cycle. Your bank or credit provider may charge you a fee for overdrawing your account.

Outstanding money

Totum Movement reserves the right to terminate any membership with more than four weeks of payments owing on the account. A membership cannot be paused or terminated while money is outstanding. Refusal to pay outstanding money may result in debt collection and other legal avenues, which can affect your credit.

Minimum commitment

Memberships are billed every four weeks (four weeks of fees charged at once). Any cancellation takes effect at the end of the current four-week billing cycle. For every recurring membership, a two-month minimum applies before cancellation.

Pausing your membership

You can place your membership on hold for a maximum of 12 weeks within any 12-month period. Once the suspension period ends, your membership fees automatically resume without further notice.

Cancelling your membership

To cancel, give at least two weeks' notice by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current four-week billing cycle (and no earlier than the end of your minimum commitment, if one applies).

How to make changes

All enquiries and notice for pauses, cancellations, and changes must be submitted by email only, to info@totummovement.com. Text messages, Facebook or Instagram messages, in-person conversations, and phone calls are not accepted methods of contact for membership changes. This protects you and us by keeping a clear, dated record.

Medical information

You agree to give us all relevant health and fitness information before or during any exercise. Each time you use the facilities and services, you must ensure you are in good physical condition and know of no medical or other reason why you should not exercise. If you are unsure, seek medical guidance first.

Price increases

Open contracts are subject to price increases. We will make our best effort to give you adequate advance notice of any change.

Prepaid memberships

Prepaid memberships (3, 6, and 12-month options) are paid in full upfront. As set out in our Terms & Conditions, all purchases are final and prepaid memberships are non-refundable. Prepaid memberships cannot be paused.

Concession

Concession rates are available if you hold a current, valid healthcare card, pension card, or student card. Concession memberships carry the same conditions and inclusions as their standard equivalents.

A note on fairness

These policies exist so the studio can run sustainably and fairly for everyone. If you're dealing with something difficult, illness, injury, or hardship, please talk to us. We're a small studio, and we'd always rather find a humane solution than hide behind a policy.
